Emini Futures Trading Course Results weekending 10/26/2007

This was a good week daytrading the S&P 500. Unfortunately I had some tough family issues and I was not able to trade on Thursday. I had to leave this morning as well so I traded a little more after lunch. So for 4 days of trading I am up about 6.75 points. That averages about 1.68 points per day, and considering I did not daytrade Thursday I am very happy with it. Here’s a little more details:

Monday: I made 5 trades total, 1 loser / 4 winners:

Trade 1: +.50 Trade 2 – 1.50 Trade 3 +1.75 Trade 4 +.50 Trade 5 +.50 I started at 8am eastern and was finished for the day at 9:34 – 4 minutes after the opening bell:

Tuesday I made 3 trades for a profit of 1.25 points

Trade 1: +.50 Trade 2: +.50 Trade 3: +.25 Started at 8 am and was finished at 9:41 am.

Wednesday I made 3 trades for 1.5 points profit

Trade 1: +.50 Trade 2 + .50 Trade 3: +.50 Was done by 9:32 am!! This may be a record day for me!

Thursday: didnt even turn on the computer 🙁

Friday I made 6 trades. 5 in the am and 1 in the pm.

Trade 1: -1.25 Trade 2: +1.25 Trade 3: +.50 Trade 4 +.25 Trade 5: + .75 – I was done at 9:50. Came back around 2:20 just before I wrote the blog and I made 3 more ticks: Trade 6: + .75 Total 2.25

I decided to be a little more aggressive today (Friday) due to the fact that I didnt trade on Thursday. The setups this week have been great. The whole week has been great with just a couple losing trades. Friday’s results were a little differnt also because I did not start at my usual time of 8 AM. I tried to start at 8 am but my internet connection was down and it took me 45 minutes of tech support to get it back up!!! I honestly thought I was getting ready to have a long weekend! We finally got it all back working again and within a minute or two, I was in a trade that immediately went against me. I recovered it all back on the next trade and moved on from there.

Alot of traders who daytrade futures may not be happy with a point or two a day. I’ve met some traders that are trading for 5 + points a day. Whew.. Thats sounds really good on paper. The reaility with my method is simple: trade for a paycheck and be done as early as possible! I really enjoy trading but I do not enjoy trading all day anymore. My “income” method works well for me. I really think it would work well for you too!

I discuss other daytrading strategies as well in my Tick Trader E mini Daytrading Course. I show ways of attaining more than 1 point a day for those who do like to trade all day. Feel free to read my home page here : Home Page and of course check out my business plan to see how much income one point a day really is: Business Plan
