Day Trading & Upcoming News – Dec 29, 2009
As we anticipated, we are seeing tremendously low volume in both the sp 500 and Dow Emini Markets. Normally this time of year I take off to spend time with the family etc.
However, I am working and trading this week. Before I get into trading I want to briefly discuss what we’ve been working on. A lot of you commented that I have stopped putting up videos. I know I addressed this in an earlier post, but I’ll address it again. I have literally spent the last 6 weeks or so producing new training videos and live training videos for my student base. With the new training videos, live training videos, Dow Emini, and Advanced videos, I produced over 50 videos! Exhausting to say the least. So I have not had time to do blog videos.
Just today we released our brand new training videos (over 30 in all) and our new Dow / Advanced videos! I still have some more Advanced Videos to work on but after next week, I will start recording more public live trading videos for the blog!
We’ve also been working hours on end getting Pro Indicator V2 ready for release. I’ll do some intro videos on that as soon as we have the release copy. With the Dow/Advanced Series, New Training Videos, and Pro Indicator V2 coming out – traders have a lot of great tools to become successful! We strive to deliver the best content and software, and I think we do a pretty darn good job!
On to trading.
The S&P was SLOW. In fact in the first hour of the day – I had 1 trade! A loser of 2 ticks. We had very few trading opportunities today on the ES. In fact I told all my students before Christmas to just take the rest of the year off! We still made profit today on the emini s&P – but I literally had my winning trade just before 4 PM!!
The Dow Emini’s were much better. My short term chart went short, I was looking for a small target as my longer term Dow Chart was still long. Well the long term ended going short – so I ended up extending my profit objective on my Dow Trade – I made 20 ticks on the Dow!
So all and all it’s been a good day.
