Day Trading results 10/13/09

The Emini markets opened up on low volume. The low volume continued all day long! I had a few losing trades out of the gate, got myself down about 4 points! I continued using my trading concepts, recovered a 2 point winner, followed by 3 or 4 more losing trades!

Let’s stop right here for a moment and reiterate how important DISCIPLINE is when you want to be a day trader ! Emini trading is awesome –but just like any other types of trading – you will take losing trades!

Moving on:

I made another 2 point recovery trade, 2 more 1 point recovery trades. Kinda went back and forth between 11AM – 2 PM – as the market was very slow!

I did make my daily income about 2:30 pm! Ended up + 5 ticks after commissions – a long day for sure! My day trading concepts are usually in the profit zone very early and we have several back to back days where we are done quick. Some days simply are longer. That is a fact of life when you trade for a living!

I continued trading – and about 3 PM (eastern) I caught another NSE for another 4 ticks profit. I wanted the extra point simply because I traded all day! So I am up 9 ticks on the day. Technically I broke the rules by doing this! I keep things real on this blog (and in my life) so I am telling you what I did :).

Our Dow Emini Strategy had 2 super nice winners today – good for 40 – 60 points!!

Contact us if you have any questions about our trading concepts !

Cheers!

Our video for today is an example of a NSE going for a 6 tick target on a long term chart:
