Day Trading Emini Results
The S&P had a very tight range today as traders await earnings season. The volume remains low. We believe in the next week or so we will see volume improve greatly as earnings will start and vacationers will begin trading again.
It’s funny. I make it clear that our Emini strategy is done trading in the first hour 80% of the time. It’s a good thing I don’t guarantee that because 3 days this week we literally trade all day long!
My Emini S&P system made money every day this week – but it was a long week indeed!
Our Dow Emini System rock and rolled all week. Except for today. Our short term Dow chart did very well but the long term chart today had 2 losers. I actually lost 17 ticks on the long term, made 10 ticks on the short term and a break even. So I am – 7 ticks on the dow for today but up well over 100 ticks for the week J so no complaints.
My ES trades today. Well I had 3 straight losers – this is why I preach about LEVERAGE so much. We all take losing trades. It’s a fact of life. Fortunately I teach my students how to leverage appropriately!
So 3 losing trades, 2 Break Even Trades, and 4 winning trades. The two B/E trades, had they been filled at profit would have made for a much quicker day.
All and all considering the low volume, we had a pretty spectacular week. Today wasn’t the best on the dow strategy but again – it did so well all week – that you gotta expect some losing trades. Right?
