The markets are really picking up steam. The Volatility Index was up 2 or 3 percentage points and that really helps day traders as it creates more price movement, and more trades! We had 2 or 3 losing trades today , although some students did manage to get a one and done, most did not. We also had a lot of great recover trades within the first 90 minutes of the day

The markets have been very low volume and we are reaching a pretty high level – about 1340 at the time of this writing! TO me, seeing a level we have not seen in quite some time, and add the fact that this is based on low volume, this trader believes we are ready for a correction! Here’s my philosophy: When the market looks great, and everything looks great (or we’re told it all looks great) WATCH OUT

Now – let’s talk about trading this week: We made our profit everyday. Monday was slow and basically took all day to make a profit. The rest of the week was pretty much average – we made our profit and that’s all that matters! Volume has been low this week but we’re still rocking and rolling!

In today’s video I talk a bit in depth about the Pullback & EET trading strategies. Today both trades were valid, and both were winners. Sometimes our rules dictate which one you can take or cannot take. But today, the rules made them both valid. The question is, “which one do I take?”. In this instance, NEITHER – we already had our daily profit. Putting that aside, it really comes down to Risk vs. Reward. The EET is a counter trend trade, thus more aggressive. You also have less risk on the EET trade. The Pullback trade is trend following, if even on a micro level, but has more risk.

We launched ProTrader Automated Strategy the last night, and we had our first trade today! It was a winner! You can see on the chart below that it was in a long position and then one of our filters closed the trade out. Still a profit – and that’s what our new ProTrader Automated Strategy is about – taking modest gains from the market. ProTrader does not trade everyday! In fact it only traded 4 or 5 times this year
