Emini Trading Results & ProTrader Webinar Reminder!
Hi everyone: As you will hear in my voice on today’s video – I don’t have a voice! I caught the flu, cancelled last weeks webinar and been sick for a long time.. feels like forever. Well I finally decided that I am SICK of being SICK so I got up, did the Trading Room and did a video.. but my voice is raspy 🙂 Also, we sent the new ProTrader Webinar sign up the other night so voice or no voice we will be doing the ProTrader Webinar tomorrow night. The markets are really picking up steam. The Volatility Index was up 2 or 3 percentage points and that really helps emini day traders as it creates more price movement, and more trades! We had 2 or 3 losing emini trades today , although some students did manage to get a one and done, most did not. We also had a lot of great recover trades within the first 90 minutes of the day.
As emini traders, we have to realize that we take losing trades. We don’t want to focus on the negatives of trading, but we have to have a plan for recovery as losing trades MUST HAPPEN. This is where I feel a lot of new traders “miss the boat”. They KNOW that losing trades happen. But instead of staying focused on the day trading strategy’s recovery plan, they focus on fear of another losing trade!! A recipe for disaster!
Psychology is such a big part of trading! I preach to my students all day long about – focus on recovery. Recovery is TOUGH – so make it your finest attribute. Without the ability to recover from losing trades, we simply can’t make money as a day trader! It DOES NOT matter if you trade my trading system or someone else’s. All systems take losing trades. Deal with it! But focus on the future, and the plan! If you don’t have a plan, get one!
