Volatility Continues…
Afternoon everyone. Sorry I did not blog yesterday. I took the day off. Wish I did today too!! but I didnt. It was WAY volatile today. I made a couple mistakes today (noticing a pattern here??? – I am). Those mistakes cost me about 5 points… It took all morning and thru lunch to get it all back and profit.
I did an AMAZING 33 TRADES!!!! just to profit 1 point… A little insane, I know… So what am I learning from all this…hmm?? Well I am not nearly as focused (I am making a TON of mistakes lately) I’ve been doing a live room for my students but its been really distracting. I dont blame my students because they have the respect to leave me be when I am trading — but I am so determined to help eveyone else that I am letting good trades go by and letting mistakes allow me to take the bad ones.
You may think.. Does this guy’s system really work?? Hmm.. he sure makes some mistakes.. — YUP -you are right. My only salvation right now is the 92% of my students ALL MAKING money —- even on days I make mistakes they are not.. .The other 8 percent are doing what I am doing ! – What does that tell you?? 🙂
All is well. We recovered. We profitted. However these long days are getting old. I cant remember the market being so volaitle! – I couldnt have picked a WORSE time to make mistakes — add in mistakes and volatility and watch out.. Fortunately I recovered and profitted!.
I hope you guys learn from this.. You can have a great trading system but if you cant follow the rules, expect tough times. I am my own system developer and I’ve had a rough go this year. My APPLAUSE to all my students who are making money everyday!!
So my New Year’s Resolution is to simply STAY DISCIPLINED. STAY FOCUSED. Stick with what I know! I hope everyone had a good day today. I am not posting 33 trades… sorry.. too much typing.. again 33 trades and I was up 1.09 points AFTER commissions.
The students that did not take my screwups today were +1.25 – 2.75 points. Learn from my mistakes! Even great traders can make mistakes and let themselves be distracted.
