Today’s Market, Chilean Miners and Looking Ahead
I would first like to praise all the hard work and effort to the people that rescued the miners in Chile yesterday. It’s not very often I agree with a certain political figure, but he/she mentioned that it was “Truly Inspirational”. I couldn’t agree more. I watched a good portion of it on the news and it’s good to see a happy ending with such a tragic event.
As for day trading, well, the markets are basically flat as of this writing. Gold made another record high as the Dollar is continuing to move down. Jobless Claims released today with 462K people filing new unemployment claims. Of course this was “unexpected” The US trade deficit for August jumped nearly 9 percent as well!
So we’ll see if the rally continues or we hit some major resistance….
