Online Day Trading Results
I go on vacation to come home to see the market has tanked and “Benny B” dropped rates 3/4 of a point… Did I not say months ago we are in a recession?? Ok.. maybe not yet, but darn close… Either way not much I can do about it.
I get asked will the have any affect on day trading — NO – not at all – at least not for me. We do the same thing today as we did yesterday. Actually the volatility has been great – its allowed us to catch much bigger moves… Alot of my students have been catching SEVERAL points a day.. I don’t, however. I stick with the rules and make my point.
I admit I did bend the rules a tad today- I make 1 point on a pre market trade — the setup was classic and I wanted to be done so I could focus on my live trading room. I then made 2 more trades for another 3 ticks… I then came back in the afternoon and made 3 ticks more — of course with all that happened today I could have made WAY more – that’s no big deal to me – I trade for a paycheck
So my trades today were all winners. 3 pre market (+4, +1, +2) and 2 after 3Pm (+2 +1) – so 2 1/2 points. A very good day for me indeed.
The markets will not stay like they’ve been.. they will settle down… Everyone is waiting on the fed again next week — Everyone is expecting 50 basis or better. Anything less and the market will probably tank (again!). The only thing I am certain of is that they wont raise rates!! ha-ha — that’s an easy one!!
Folks, day trading is a RECESSION proof business…. I am sure I could not sell my house right now.. but I know I can make my living every single day! That’s what matters most – knowing I can earn money day in and day out and not worry about the economy — of course I hope the economy gets better (and it will!!) but when it comes right down to it, I have to LIVE — day trading allows that.
I get a lot of emails every day and I start to see the same questions and “patterns” every day. Day trading is NOT for the weak!! you MUST be disciplined and you MUST follow rules… One email today was a gentlemen who said he doesn’t know how to draw the line and asked if my system would help — I couldn’t lie – I told him NO.
I can teach you how to trade. I can teach you the rules – I can not teach you how to get past your fears and greed. I truly believe ANYONE can day trade for a living… Its tough sometimes!! But its the best job anyone could ask for – I know I don’t want to do anything else.
