Futures Trading Results
Hi everyone.. Whew. what a day… Was a bit longer than expected.. I traded till about 10:30 am today.. I had a rough pre market – couldn’t seem to get ahead, so I waited until after the open. Ended up positive – which is my goal – every day. But I did have a longer day.
It was volatile today and the market did not know what it wanted to do!!

Today’s Trades:
- Trade 1: -5 ticks
- Trade 2: +3 ticks
- Trade 3: -5 ticks
- Trade 4: + 2 ticks
At this point it was clear the market didn’t have a trend. So I recovered about half of my loss and waited till the open.
After 9:30
- Trade 5: -5 ticks
- Trade 6: +8 ticks
- Trade 7: +4 ticks (THIS IS HOW I RECOVER)
- Trade 8: +2 ticks
- Trade 9: +2 ticks
- Trade 10: + 2 ticks
- Trade 11: + 3 ticks
I took the extra couple trades to make sure commissions were covered. Actually was more ahead than I thought. I ended up +2.75 before commissions. After commission: about 1.68 point positive. So I really didn’t need the last trade. I did take it so I record it on the blog!
All and all a fine day. I admit it was rough and I was frustrated. It’s not always I take so many losing trades. This is when you REALLY have to follow the rules and STAY DISCLIPLINED!! So I am not complaining… When we get days like this, it just makes for a longer day!!
