Emini Trading Results & a 3 tick scalp on the ZB video
Emini Trading was very good today, depending on what system you day trade. I have my original Tick Trader System that had a loser (-4) followed by 2 winners (+4) (+8) for a very nice day!
I am also teaching my “chop money” system whereas you go for 2 – 4 points per day and have a daily max stop loss. At the peak I was up 2 points (above). After the 10 AM report was released, I had about 3 losers -6, -6, -2, I had a break-even, a winner – kinda went back and forth – at my lowest point (11am) I was down about 4 points.
11am – 1:30PM is not my favorite times to day trade the eminis. So I wait for something to happen before I take a trade – of course I teach this in my LIve Room. Well around 11:15 or so we had a “double-chop” rule that allowed me to jump back into an EET – and grab a quick 2 points! I then took the next EET for 6 ticks.
So as a chop money trader (which is what I am doing for the next 2 weeks) I am still down about 1/2 point (ES) – with commissions – we’ll make it a 1 point loss. However the day is not over – and I plan on trading this afternoon. When I am a chop money trader and I get down 4+ points – I can do one of 3 things – I can LOSE more and hit my daily max stop loss – OR – I can recover to break-even and stop for the day (this case a “bad” day – is not all that bad!!) or I can continue to trade until I hit my daily profit or stop loss for the day!!
More than likely I will just get my head above water and stop for the day.
I missed 2 great Dow Emini trades – but I did catch one for 15 ticks. Technically if you add it all up – I AM above water – however I want to get even on the ES as I am not “counting” the dow mini trade as my chop money trading (at least not yet!!)
