E mini Trading Strategies Results
Hi everyone! Market had a good day today. The S&P opened up about 15 points to the good and ended up having a late afternoon rally.
Tick Traders had a great day too!! I took 7 trades today. The first trade I had today was a good trade set up but I allowed it to stop me out, against my trading rules. I was long, and I should have stayed long! Instead I reversed short, and had to reverse long again for a total of 2 losses — just to get me back to where I should have been in the first place!
The rules had me staying in the trade from the jump!! I kinda, sorta made a mistake and took a loss. I hate to admit to it, but I MAKE MISTAKES !! — see, I feel better already!! Fortunately the rest of the day was smooth as a rail. I made it all back on the next 2 trades!
I am sure I have mentioned it here before, but my methods are very forgiving. You can make mistakes and still make money! Of course we try not to make mistakes. If we do, or if we take a legitimate loss, it simply means we will have a longer day at the trade desk.
We did not have any pre market reports so I did not trade until after the bell. Here’s my trades:
- Trade 1: – 3 ticks
- Trade 2: – 4 ticks
- Trade 3: + 6 ticks
- Trade 4: + 2 ticks
- Trade 5: + 3 ticks
- Trade 6: +3 ticks
- Trade 7: + 1 tick
So + 2 points before commissions. I finished the day at 10:05 am. Would have been about 30 minutes sooner had I not made the mistake. NO big deal.. Chock it up and move forward.
