E mini Day Trading Results November 5 – 9
Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well and ready to enjoy the weekend! It’s rainy and wet where I live so I’ll be stuck indoors probably most of the day.
This was a pretty good week trading. Most days I was done before 10 am. One day I had to trade until 11Am and yesterday I was done 40 minutes before the market even opened!
Tuesday of this week was probably my toughest trading day and my most profitable. It was a bear to say the least. I took 11 trades and 5 of those were losers. It seemed every time I took a winner, a loser followed behind it. Finally after 10 am , things moved to my favor and I took two very nice trades and ended up 4+ point for the day.
The other 4 days were typical days for me: 2 or 3 trades for a quick point – point and a half and done before 10 am. These are the days I really enjoy!
All said and done my total gain was 10.75 points for the week. After commissions, it comes up to about 7.5 points of pure profit.
Please do not laugh at that! I know some of those die hard traders are making 5 – 10 points a day! Here I am ranting about 7 points a week!
Let’s look at my philosophy of trading: Trading For Income: How can we make a little money everyday. That, to me is what it really is all about. My total time at the “trade desk” this week was just under 8 hours!! 8 hours in a week and we earned 7.5 points profit!
7.5 points profit equates to $ 375 profit per contract. Even trading 3 contracts equals a 50 thousand dollar a year income – AND you only worked 8 hours the whole week!! Those trading 10 contracts + are well into the 6 figure income profile. You can do this every week! My E mini trading methods are very easily learned and are very accurate. Honestly, 7.5 points was a good week for me. It is a little higher than my average. I am usually 5 – 6 points per week after commissions. 5 points a week is all I need to make a very comfortable 6 figure income. I do not need to trade all day long targeting 4 or 5 points per day. In my opinion that will burn you out really quick.
If I need to make more money, all I have to do is add more contracts to my position size. Think about this, how much money do you need to make a year to live? 100K a year? More? well it is all very achievable trading my methods!
Let’s say you wanted to quit your “day job” and day trade full time ( I use the full term very loosely). After you practice and learn the methods, you only need to trade 8 contracts to make 100K a year with a 5 point a WEEK objective.
Guys this is EASY to do. Taking one point a day out of the S&P 500 is nothing. This what my whole strategy is based on, simply trading for a small bite every day. Isn’t that simple??
I have been involved in trading for a long time, and I gotta tell you – this is the best way to trade (in my opinion, of course). I think you get the idea!
