Contract Rollover: Day Trading Results
Hi everyone. Today was contract rollover. So a lot of traders simply chose not to day trade. As expected, we had a very slow moving market as the volume is basically split up into the December and March contracts. In any event we rolled into March 2010. Because of the lack of data, we could not use our long term filer, as there was simply not enough data. We also couldn’t trade the Dow Strategy for the same reason.
I normally trade. However I reduce my contract size considerably as its not always a quick or easy day.
The markets we’re SLOW! However, we should be in good shape tomorrow as most everyone will be on the March contract.
I did about 6 trades and ended up over 7 ticks profit after commission. I was doing one on one phone calls with my students during most of the afternoon so I day traded with them on the phone. So I made about $87 per contract today. Again no dow emini trades.
Glad I made money and I am glad for everyone who knew well enough to stay in bed 🙂
