Friday, October 29th, 2010

We had a pretty fantastic week day trading the emini futures markets! Monday & Tuesday we’re recovery days, and we had about 6 trades each day. The rest of the week, most of us had straight one and done days! Total time in market this week – about 3.5 hours! Not a bad work week!

Emini Trading Results & Futures Market Update 10/28/2010

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

Jobless Claims were released at 8:30 this morning and new US claims unexpectedly fell last week touching their lowest level I three months! That sparked a little rally pre-market. We had a nice One and Done emini trading strategies winner.

Emini Trading Results for 10/27/2010

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

We had an awesome “one and done” day today! We we’re first trying to get filled on a Pullback Trade, one of three day trading strategies we teach in our futures course. However, the Pullback rules had us cancel the trade, as the probability of success was decreased. Worked out nice as we cancelled the order and jumped in the Normal System Entry for a quick one and done day! We had several winners after that as well – for those that trade for more than 1 point per day.

Emini Trading: Futures Results for October 25, 2010

Monday, October 25th, 2010

Today was a choppy day. The markets are up, marginally. However the emini S&P is hovering the 1190 level. Whenever we see levels like this: 1190, 1180, or especially 1200, you tend to see a lot of choppiness as a lot of traders are buying support & resistance levels. I am not a S/R trader, but I must respect a “big” number such as 1190. Sure enough, we played around in No Zone a lot today – and right around that 1190 level. So I did trade a lot of EET trades as they tend to work well in choppy markets. Of course we teach this in our futures day trading course.

Our futures trading system produced another One and Done today! We’ve been seeing some nice action and some great trades! We had either an EET that was good for 6+ ticks or a Normal System Entry for a nice 1 point winner! We also had 2 NSE out of No Zone trades – both winners! […]

Futures Trading, the “One and Done” and Mindset.

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

We did it again! Another One and Done! Just after the opening bell our trading system signaled a long entry, we jumped in long and made our daily income about 1 minute later! That’s day trading folks! Some days it’s fast, some days, well it’s not so fast! Just remember though, not too long ago […]

The Federal Reserve, today’s weak market and our futures trading results.

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

Markets are weak today as expected considering the rally we’ve seen the past couple of weeks. William Dudley, President of the Federal Reserve Bank stated today that the US employment and inflation are likely several years away from being in the Fed’s “comfort zone”… interesting… you can read more about that here. Well we had […]

Emini Trading today was good and strong …

Monday, October 18th, 2010

Another good trading day today using our futures trading system. Our first trade was a Normal System Entry, short. That made it’s profit, and some had a one and done. I moved my stop-loss to entry after 1 point of positive price action. I was never filled at my exit price and was stopped out […]
