Our trading system produced one and done trades yesterday and today. However, the volume is extremely light – and that’s to be expected this time of year and I really do not want to trade all day long. Lower volume and low volatility simply means less trades our emini trading course will produce. Normally we get a TON of emini signals a day. However with the low volume it’s probably about half! My point is: I don’t want to take one or two losing trades and have to stare at a screen all day long trying to recover from losing trades.

We had a nice one and done trade today! We shorted the market using our Early Entry Technique (EET). Our Long Term Filter was short so definitely wanted to go short as well! The market moved sideways for 3 or 4 minutes and then straight down for an easy 4 tick target. You could have stayed in for 8+ ticks on that trade, however there was a report out at 10AM and I don’t like to be in trades too close to a report! Sure enough, after the report came out we had a 4 point spike up and straight back down! A good example of why we don’t trade reports!

Markets closed up higher today and the Dow has reached its highest levels in 2 years! Could this be a top, or just the beginning? I do believe we will see a correction as stocks, commodities, etc are up across the board –but it sure is nice to see the market reach some lofty levels! […]

Well the markets are just about at 2 year highs! They sold off a bit towards the close and volatility dropped like a rock! We had a long day today! It was a profitable day, just longer than we expect. Typically we day tradine the emini futures market for about 20 – 45 minutes per day! Today it was basically ALL DAY with the exception of lunch. Why? Very little action. Most of the moves today happened pre-market and the last hour of the day. In between it was sideways.

Today was contract rollover so we are now trading the March 2011 contract. We had a nice One and Done EET Long trade! It was a little slow – probably due to contract rollover and a good portion of traders still on the Dec. Contract. But we did make our point profit. We also had a winning NSE out of No Zone today as well!
