 Well we are well into the new year and The Tick Trader Methods are ROCKING AND ROLLING!!  We finally released our new AutoTrade Software for the NinjaTrader Platform.

Easy emini trading today. It seems after a rough day - we always get an easy day afterwards!

The SP had 3 beautiful moves the first half hour of the day - each one good for at least one point profit.

 I missed the first traded, caught the 2nd trade - made a point and called it a day! Check back tomorrow to see tomorrow’s day trades

Day Trading the Eminis takes discipline!  I say that over and over again. Regardless of what day trading course you buy, YOU must be the one to have discipline to follow the rules all the time!

A disciplined trader can take a mediocore system and profit from it. An undisciplined trader can take a GREAT trading system and lose!

People ask me all the time, David, if trading is so easy, why isnt everyone doing it?? — VERY SIMPLE answer - IT’S NOT EASY! It never has been. Folks, let’s face it - nothing good in life is ever easy. Trading is no different! 

Day trading is not a get-rich-quick thing…  To be a succesful trader, you need a good trading system, and discipline! If you have that - you really are all set to start a new career as a trader. But its not as easy as it sounds! When people lose money - emotions enter the arena! Emotions can turn a good trader into a bad trader really quick!!

 So, why am I bringing all this up??  Simple - today was TOUGH!!  Usually we have a nice simple day. 20 - 30 minutes after the open we are done. Some days it’s not that easy.

I was down 6 points within 8 minutes of the opening bell. Is this rare?? YES it is - but it DOES indeed happen and you must be prepared for it.  Anyhow, the next 7 minutes I totally recovered the 6 points. I then kinda went back and forth with winners/losers until I finally broke above and made my profit. I was done today at about 10:30 — 1 hour of trading. Still not too bad.

In my Live Trading Room, some students we’re getting worried -as most of them are taking the same trades as I am taking. I could feel the panin in some of them. I told them all - this is when the discipline matter!! and guess what? We recovered! We made a profit…!!

The point I am making is that after teaching as many people as I have, I realized recently that trading is NOT for everyone.  I can have 100 students looking at the SAME chart making the SAME trades, yet 20 % of them will lose! Why is that??  The answer is simple - -the discipline - or lack of discipline…    I could go on and on — but I wont…

If you are considering a career as a day trader or you are a trader looking for a winning system - you need to realize that the discipline you have (or don’t have) will decid whether or not you will be succesful at trading my system or anyone else’s system for that matter!  If you are looking for the holy grail of trading, or a system that never loses trades — trust me - it doesn’t exist!

Emini Trading Strategies would like to wish everyone a joyful Holiday season!!

We’ve decided to start updating our blog on a daily basis! Our apologies for not doing so sooner. We stay pretty busy but we receive several requests a day to update our blog.

We will do a quick recap of last weeks emini trades and then tomorrow we’ll update on a more regular basis. Before we move on I would like to announce that our AutoTrader for Ninja Trader is ALMOST ready! This software is going to blow away all other software programs out there!  We are beta-testing now! We are certain to have it out by the end of the year!

Last week of course was Thanksgiving. I do not day trade the day before a holiday. Below are the charts for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday!

Blue is a long trade, short of course is a short!  Easy days last week!

Emini Traders had a great day using The Tick Trader Methods and the Tick Trader Auto Trader Software!  As you can see in the chart below, we had 8 straight winners on the 233Tick!  Using the trailing stop function you would have really locked down some serious gains.

Notice that these trades are all within the first 18 minutes of the opening bell!  Anyone trading for a quick 1 - 2 points today was done in minutes flat! Thats what we are all about!

Today was another quick day using my emini trading methods. I turned the auto trader on today with a 2 point trailing stop and a 4 point profit objective.  Had I traded manually, I would have had similar results.  I actually made a nice profit pretty quick. However I forgot to shut the Auto Trader off and it took a loss so I had to recover — I recovered and still made 1 point profit and stopped by 10 am. Had I turned the Auto Trader off - I’d be up about 1.5…

Again my emini strategies can be traded manually or with our optional Auto Trader Software. The software has the benefit of speed in execution and lack of emotions!

In my first trade I had a 7 tick stop loss. My 2nd trade I had a 3 tick stop loss. My next trade I caught the 16 ticks! Of  course had I not put a 4 point profit objective in and let the trailing stop - stop me out - i would have had about 28 ticks profit!  In any case. Another quick winning day trading the emini methods we teach.

I posted about a month ago stating I would start updating the blog on a regular basis….  Things have been busy - but now that I am all caught up — I will start posting!

Day trading the eminis today was fantastic!! I used my Auto Trade Software today and made 4.5 points!!!  Alot of my students use the Auto Trade Software as well as trade manually.

I teach students how to make 1 point daily and walk away. I also teach some longer term day trading strategies that allow you to capture more per day!  Using a trailing stop - we can produce more than 1 point a day - lately - its been 10+ points a day!

Below is a shot of the 233 Tick chart on the ES - you’ll see the blue dot showing the long trade - just above it is my live auto trade with a 2 point trailing stop!!  I took the next trade for another 1.5 — so AWESOME 6 point day and still done way before 10 AM.

 I am asked alot these days if the current market conditions hinder The Tick Trader Methods — NO! They help it. We absolutely love the volume and the volatility!

Our program has improved over the last year - we have the Auto Trader and soon Auto Trader for Ninja - Those work fantastic! Are manual trading is just as good!  I teach some longer term strategies as well as strategies for trading the 30 Year bonds and the Dow Eminis. Of course I still teach and use my “bread and buter” methods for quickly scalping 1 point a day!!

Wild ride on wall street today!  The Dow was down more than 500 points!! The S&P 500 Eminis were down over 4.5 %!

Financial stocks dropped, the US Economy looks bad…
